Lammas Celebration and Potluck

Join us as we celebrate the harvest of Lammas! This is the first of the three harvest festivals and celebrates the annual wheat harvest. It’s believed the name has it’s roots in the Anglo-Saxon word hlaf-mas, “loaf-mass”. It was a traditional custom to bake a loaf of bread made from these first grains and offer it to Deity, friends and family. You might also know this celebration as Lughnasadh (Loo-na-sah), in the Celtic path.

Click here to join the Teams Meeting. Please bring a seasonal fruit or vegetable with seeds for working, as well as a grain based bread for cakes and ale. Children are very welcome at this event.

Using Teams, we will be sharing a meal virtually following the ritual.
