Online Meeting
The Sabbat called Samhain is, no doubt, the most important, thought least understood, of the ancient Celtic festivals. It marks the end of the third and final harvest, it is a day to commune with and honor and remember the dead, and it is a celebration of the eternal cycle of rebirth. The Pagan Samhain is not, and never was, associated with evil or negativity. It has always been a time to reaffirm our belief in the oneness of all spirits and in our firm resolution that physical death is not the final act of existence. Though death is very much a part of Samhain’s symbolism, this Sabbat also celebrates the triumph of life over death.
Often when people die, we have unfinished business with them, things we wish we had said and others we wish we would rather not have said. And sometimes they have unfinished business with us. One way of communing with our dearly departed loved ones is to write them a letter and send it to the Otherworld in the Samhain fire. Another way of communing with our departed loved ones is sitting in silence while hosting a supper in their honour and inviting them to join us. We invite you to join Circle of the Sacred Muse for a virtual potluck meal where we will commune with our loved ones to help ease their journey, and ours, in these uncertain times.
Join us for our ritual celebration and then share in our community potluck as we feast virtually together.
