August 12, 2022
It has been an interesting, and sometimes frustrating couple of years, yet we have managed to continue celebrating the cycles of the sun and moon throughout it all. We have made some wonderful connections with folks we would not have met had we not held our rituals online.
Now that the worst is over (we hope), we are meeting in person once again, AND we are keeping our online ritual space as well! You are welcome to join us either in person or online for our upcoming events.
We are here to support you spiritually throughout whatever challenges you may be facing. Please reach out to us through Facebook messenger – either personally or through our page, or by email (mary at circle of the sacred muse dot org).
With lots of love and blessings,
Lady Mary Malinski, APS
The Circle of the Sacred Muse ATCC is the public ritual group for the Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Canada. We are an open Wiccan community serving Courtenay, Comox, Campbell River and the surrounding communities on Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We celebrate the Sabbats and Full Moons – our rituals are open to the public* to attend. We also have informal “coffee cauldrons,” where we can meet, share experiences, and have fun.
Our circle is accepting of all, regardless of race, gender or orientation. Whether you are an experienced covener, new to the craft or just curious, you are welcome here. As we are told in the Charge of the Goddess, we bring “mirth and reverence” to our rituals.
We ask that you RSVP for rituals (when we are able to return to in person gatherings) so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone. Dates may be subject to change. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Join us as we celebrate the union of the God and the Goddess with the festival of Beltaine! The weather is warming, the air is filled with the scent of flowers, the birds sing their mating calls and a fiery passion stirs deep within all nature. The eternal race for survival begins anew as the goddess is courted once again.
In the Celtic tradition the two greatest festivals of all are Beltane and Samhain. Today we celebrate Beltane, the time of year where the weather starts to get warmer, and the first sprouts of the food crops can be seen making their way out through the rich earth. Beltane is about prosperity, fertility, and the strengthening of bonds. Young men and women would jump over the Beltane fire to attract wives and husbands, pregnant women would jump over the fire to ensure a safe delivery, and couples would jump over the fire to strengthen their bond. This is a time of year where Greenwood marriages are traditionally performed. The bond would last for a year and a day and then could either be renewed the next year or dissolved if the partnership didn’t work out. The May Pole would also be placed in a hole on the ground and people would dance around it with ribbons. Dancing around the May Pole brings fertility and prosperity for the coming year.
Please prepare a meal to “share” with us online, and RSVP to let us know you are coming. Children are very welcome at this event.

Recommended donation for Circles is $2.00-$5.00 for members, and $5.00-10.00 for non-members. You can make donations or pay for your membership using PayPal on our website. Children do not need to pay membership. Please do not let money stop you from coming to Circle. We would rather have *you* there!
Join us as we celebrate the longest day of the year with the festival of Litha, the height of the Sun’s power, the day the Sun King reigns supreme. Because of this, it also marks the beginning of the end of His reign as He will be with us less each day. Even thought the hottest days of Summer lie ahead and today we celebrate the glory of the sun, from this point onwards, we enter the waning year and each day the sun will recede from the sky a little earlier.
Please bring a potluck item to share, and RSVP to let us know you are coming. Children are very welcome at this event.
